Chandrayaan 3 Current Status (Today Update)

Chandrayaan 3 is ISRO’s current spacecraft which is expected to land moon on 23rd August 2023. If this happens India will become the fourth nation to land the rover in Moon. The spacecraft was launched on July 14 by using Indian pride GSLV Mark 3 now called LVM 3. The spacecraft was launched from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Andhra Pradesh’s Sriharikota. In this article, we are going to see the current status of Chandrayaan 3.

The Chandrayaan 3 conducted the final lunar-bound maneuver at 8.30 Am on Wednesday (16/08/2023). Today short firing was conducted, as a result, the spacecraft was placed into an orbit of 153 km x 163 km.

So, tomorrow, 17th August 2023 they prepare to separate the lander from the propulsion module. before that engineers check all the functionality of the lander and rover. If they separate the lander from the propulsion module, they need to land it on August 23rd, 2023. If there is any problem. then they wait one more month to separate the lander from the propulsion module. Because all 14 days which is one lunar day is the best time to do the research in the south pole of the moon.

So, only the lander and rover get energy from the sun. For another 14 days will be dark. So, they need to be very careful about this landing.

The machine core thing is to soft land on the moon and do the research on the south pole of the moon.

The most difficult part of the mission is reducing the velocity of the machine from 30 km to landing is the main task. Also, they need to transfer the spacecraft direction from horizontal to vertical is another tricky situation.

If everything goes well the lander will land safely. Hope we pray and wait for a successful soft landing. Stay tuned with us for more Chandrayaan 3 live status and updates.
